Let’s look for an area rug…

This week I’ve been looking for a new area rug. For the past few years we’ve had a kid friendly foam floor mat in our living room. It has met our functional needs but is lacking a bit in the aesthetic department. I think we are ready for a proper area rug, something that looks good, but still functions for the family. I definitely want something with a contemporary look, but knowing there is a very high chance of getting drawn on, I also don’t want to be too precious about it. The walls of our living room are dark, and we have beautiful hardwood floors and without meaning too, I was apparently very drawn to a monochrome look.
