June Recap

Summer is here! We celebrated the start of June with a family getaway to Lake Geneva, or at least a waterpark hotel near Lake Geneva. Our kiddo was living his best life at the waterpark everyday and I accepted that it wasn’t getting the Midwest beach vacation I had planned for.

When we got home I felt like I was finally able to start making progress on our 2025 renovation project list. I have been pulling together a mood board for our kitchen refresh and started ordering items and picking paint colors. I’ve been getting quotes and scheduling work to get done on other areas of our house too! Knowing we’re halfway through the year already, we definitely won't be getting to all of our projects. But these days I have a ‘Progress over Perfection’ mindset and I’m happy with how things are going so far.

When we’re not overthinking home renovation projects we’ve been enjoying the start of summer with iced coffee, splash pads, water balloons and too many popsicles.

  1. Rapid Fill Water Balloons - So wasteful, but so fun.

  2. Iced Coffee Maker - We just got this and we’re loving it!

  3. Vintage Fan - Trying to make our hot old house look cute.

  4. Hooded Kids Towel - This is prefect for the waterpark.

  5. Sudoku - I’ve been trying to cut back on screen time.

  6. Freezie Pops - The kiddo goes through at least a box a week.

  7. Lego Sports Car - Obviously there was Lego for Fathers Day
